SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting -  Marchmann Unit Addition to CBHC
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nCharlotte Behavioral Health Care (CBHC) will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 5 p.m. on Monday\, June 30\, 2025\, to mark the start of a major expansion to its Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services. The ceremony will take place at CBHC’s main campus\, located at 1700 Education Ave.\, Punta Gorda. The public is invited to attend.  \n\n\n\n The construction project is part of CBHC’s ongoing commitment to meet the increasing behavioral health needs in Charlotte County and surrounding areas. The new facility will offer enhanced space for individual and group counseling\, dedicated Marchman Act service delivery\, and expanded recovery programs.  \n\n\n\n “This groundbreaking isn’t just the start of construction\, but the continuation of our promise to meet people where they are\, in their deepest moments of need\,” said Kelly Pomerville\, CBHC’s director of marketing and public relations. “It reflects our goal to be the answer to addiction and provide a path forward for individuals and families affected by substance use. This is one step in our three-year\, $9 million plan for expansion efforts and campus-wide updates.”  Construction is being led by J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp\, a trusted builder in Southwest Florida\, in partnership with Fleischman\, Garcia\, Maslowski Architecture. The expansion will add approximately 4\,000 square feet of new clinical space. The $2.8 million project is being funded through a combination of $2.6 million in state funding\, with the remaining support provided by CBHC. Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2026.  CBHC has served Charlotte County for more than 50 years\, providing comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment services.
