The Ultimate Girls Day Out in Punta Gorda!
By Della Booth
Girl’s Day or Mom’s Day, you want to enjoy Punta Gorda and soak up the fun!
First Stop: A 9am appointment at Perfectly Polished Nail Boutique for mimosa’s, a mani & jelly or charcoal pedi -ohhh, sandal perfect!
2nd: Stroll down to Pomegranate & Fig gift boutique to browse and buy accessories, gifts and Okab flip flops.
Next: Cross the street to Herald Court Center to the Punta Gorda Coffee & Tea for a mid-morning sip and shared pastry. Wander over to The Refindery to see the vintage art, decor and furniture. Don’t miss the Artisan Atelier, a venue of working artists ready to share their talents with you.
And More…
Just west of the Atelier is one of over thirty murals scattered around Punta Gorda.
Then, back to Marion Ave to visit the Punta Gorda Chamber – pick up a visitor guide to take home with you and perhaps have a quick conversation with Della Booth, Broker of TIME Realty Services. With a 25-year residency and 23 years real estate experience, Della can share the current market with you and tell you why she loves Punta Gorda.
Just next door to the Chamber is PG Social House, browse their selection of home decor.

Late lunch should be at the Village Fish Market in Fisherman’s Village. You can drive the 1 mile, or you can stroll down Marion Ave past City Hall and through the Historic District, enjoying homes from the 1900’s forward and the tropical feel of our city.
At the Village Fish Market, request a table outside with a view of beautiful Charlotte Harbor. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. However, I cannot get past the fried shrimp, edamame salad and cornbread! With a full bar and Mike, the bartender, a nice glass of wine or beer goes great with the gentle breezes and the view.
When you are completely sated, head back downtown using the Punta Gorda Pathway, detour off to Virginia Street and visit Copperfish Books, they are an amazing indie store with books (of course), gifts and great conversations about the authors that come to visit.
Pop around the corner to Los Dos Cristianos and enjoy an afternoon break on their front porch. A iced coffee or cappuccino is the perfect end to a nice lazy day exploring beautiful Punta Gorda.
